The Undercover Spy Lab

The Site – GarageGymPro.com

Flippa Listing - https://flippa.com/10572121-advertising-sports-and-outdoor

Date Sold - 14th June 2020

Price Sold For - $110,000

Age of Site When Sold – 6 Years

Details – Here's an excellent example of a six figure flip The site was steady but income increased in the 3 previous months before sale to almost 5 figures a month.

Keywords Targeted – It targets keywords related to the exercise, gym and fitness niche.

Backlinks – According to SEMRush there are around 3,230 backlinks in total from 489 referring domains.

What My Plan Would Be To Clone The Results – I would set up a brand new site using a domain name that had the word 'gym' in it. I would then create 1,000+ word content posts that target relevant keywords and place Amazon native ads on each page. I would most likely need to have 75+ posts on the site to become more of an authority but these can be added on an ongoing basis.

I would use social, Web 2.0 and PBN links to rank the site over the course of 12+ months. I would heavily focus on getting topically related and thematically related backlinks.

The aim would be to get to $10,000+ per month in profit and then sell for $100,000+

The Sniper Lab

The Sniper Lab is all about creating small 3-5 page websites that target buyer keywords with an Exact Match Domain (EMD).

You simply browse the Amazon marketplace to find products, then put those into the Google keyword planner and see what searches come up. Find one that gets 250+ searches a month that has a .com available domain and you're good to go!

You can use a free keyword tool like this one to get more accurate search volumes than the Google keyword planner now gives you.

These are really simple sites to make and each can make you 4 figures in profit when you sell them. They make great additions to add to your Amazon empire.

These will obviously be snapped up fast by members but give you an idea of what to look for. A new list will be added every month.

The Ranking Lab

Fast Rankings on Medium.com

I may have mentioned this before but you can get some incredibly fast rankings in Google by using Medium.com

You can literally publish an article and have it ranked high in Google the very next day.

This means you can publish articles that are keyword rich for your niche and link to your niche website in the article. People find the Medium article from Google, read it and click through to your website.

So much faster than ranking your own website. It means you can get traffic and sales faster and flip your sites quicker than ever.

Give it a try 🙂

The Q and A Lab

There have been no questions this month but here are some previous ones:

Q – How do I know how much content to add?

A – The best way is to type your keyword into Google and check the top 10 sites. How many pages do they have? How many backlinks? By checking out the top 10 results, you can get a good idea of how big your site needs to be in order to rank aside those sites already ranking.

Q – Would I not be better off creating an Amazon FBA business instead?

A – Whilst there's money to be made selling your own products, there's also a huge amount of risk along with extra work too.

The reason I love Amazon associates, is because you can already see what is selling and target those products. With FBA, you have to take a risk on whether your products will actually sell for a profit. If you're going to give it a go, try and learn from an expert first before risking any money buying products.

Q – Would paid traffic not be faster than SEO?

A – Sure but it's also harder to make it profitable. The only way to get paid traffic to work is to target high ticket products and find a way to get cheap (but still targeted) clicks.

If using paid traffic, I would advise to send it to an optin page so you can collect their email addresses first before sending them to any products. If you send someone directly to Amazon then you can never contact them again and if they don't buy anything then they are gone for good.

SEO does take longer but the free traffic is worth it in the end.
