The Undercover Spy Lab

The Site – MyCurlingIron.com

Flippa Listing - https://flippa.com/10322092-advertising-health-and-beauty

Date Sold - 10th November 2019

Price Sold For - $11,000

Age of Site When Sold – 3 Years

Details – Here's another perfect example of an Amazon niche website. Targeting one product range only and making $500/m makes an easy 5 figure flip.

Keywords Targeted – It targets keywords related to curling irons.

Backlinks – According to MajesticSEO there are around 2,000 new backlinks in total from 100+ referring domains.

What My Plan Would Be To Clone The Results – I would set up a brand new site using a domain name that had the word 'curling iron' in it. I would then create 1,000+ word content posts that target relevant keywords and place Amazon native ads on each page. I would most likely need to have 70+ posts on the site to become more of an authority but these can be added on an ongoing basis.

I would use social, Web 2.0 and PBN links to rank the site over the course of 12+ months. I would heavily focus on getting topically related and thematically related backlinks.

The aim would be to get to $1,000+ per month in profit and then sell for $30,000 - $40,000.

The Sniper Lab

The Sniper Lab is all about creating small 3-5 page websites that target buyer keywords with an Exact Match Domain (EMD).

You simply browse the Amazon marketplace to find products, then put those into the Google keyword planner and see what searches come up. Find one that gets 250+ searches a month that has a .com available domain and you're good to go!

You can use a free keyword tool like this one to get more accurate search volumes than the Google keyword planner now gives you.

These are really simple sites to make and each can make you 4 figures in profit when you sell them. They make great additions to add to your Amazon empire.

Facebook Profile Strategy

Here's a recent traffic method I've been using myself to get traffic to my offers from Facebook.

Facebook Profile

– Post 1-2 times a day on your profile.

Have a mixture of results, value and lifestyle content. Things like tips, videos, other people’s results, images, fun, basically any content that is based around your niche.

– Post in 3-5 related groups a week.

Find and join 3-5 groups that have your target audience inside. Post 1-2 times a week in each group. This will be a value post, not promoting anything. Also interact and comment on other posts in those groups.

– Request 10-30 new friends a day.

Reach out to people in those groups, people who like/comment on your posts, people from related pages and send them friends requests. When people accept, thank them and mention your free group to them and see if they want to join.

– Like and comment on friends posts.

Take the time to like and comment on posts that your new friends are making. They need to see your name regularly to get their interest.

Facebook Group

– Post 2-3 times a week in your group.

The great thing about groups is you can schedule your posts. So schedule 2-3 posts a week of value. Follow the same results/value/lifestyle system with your content.

– Add your own content.

If you have a blog or YouTube channel, share your own content.

– Monetize

And the main reason why we’re doing all this; to make money! Add posts that contain your affiliate links. Don’t make them look like adverts, add value and an affiliate link in the post for them to see more.

The Q and A Lab

Questions that have been sent in this month:

No questions have been sent in this month, here are last months in case you missed them.

Q – How do I know how many words to put in my articles?

A – Just see what the competition has. View the top 10 sites in Google for your keyword and use a site like Word Count to see how many words they have on the page. Take an average of all sites and that's your goal. Although I would also add more words than the average.

Q – Do I need PBN's to rank?

A – It depends on the competition. You certainly don't need them, they just make things easier. But you can use outreach and guest posts to get highly related links which are just as powerful.

Q – Do I add all sites to Google Console?

A – No, I like to keep things separate and not connected. I will however add the sites I keep long term because it's a great way to find keywords to target and to generate content ideas.
