The Undercover Spy Lab

The Site – BestGardenOutdoor.com

Flippa Listing - https://flippa.com/10716567-advertising-home-and-garden

Date Sold - 12th November 2020

Price Sold For - $26,000

Age of Site When Sold – 1 Year

Details – A great example of what can be achieved in just 12 months. The site was making $1,000 a month and sold for a cool $26,000.

Keywords Targeted – It targets keywords related to gardening and outdoor products.

Backlinks – According to SEMRush there are around 208k backlinks in total from 551 referring domains.

What My Plan Would Be To Clone The Results – I would set up a brand new site using a domain name that had the word 'garden' or 'outdoor' in it. I would then create 1,000+ word content posts that target relevant keywords and place Amazon native ads on each page. I would most likely need to have 75+ posts on the site to become more of an authority but these can be added on an ongoing basis.

I would use social, Web 2.0 and PBN links to rank the site over the course of 12+ months. I would heavily focus on getting topically related and thematically related backlinks.

The aim would be to get to $1,000+ per month in profit and then sell for $20,000+

The Sniper Lab

The Sniper Lab is all about creating small 3-5 page websites that target buyer keywords with an Exact Match Domain (EMD).

You simply browse the Amazon marketplace to find products, then put those into the Google keyword planner and see what searches come up. Find one that gets 250+ searches a month that has a .com available domain and you're good to go!

You can use a free keyword tool like this one to get more accurate search volumes than the Google keyword planner now gives you.

These are really simple sites to make and each can make you 4 figures in profit when you sell them. They make great additions to add to your Amazon empire.

The Ranking Lab

3 Ways To Make More From Each Site

The more money your websites are making, the more they will sell for. So don't be afraid to find more ways to monetize your sites because when it comes time to sell them, it will make a huge difference.

Here are 3 ways to do that:

#1 – Build A List

Yes, you've heard this before. But if there's ever an asset that will pay time and time again, it's having an email list.

Find something to give away, set up and email autoresponder with affiliate offers and put a sign up on your site.

#2 – Different Affiliate Platforms

There are many platforms with affiliate offers on that you can use. Amazon, ClickBank, CJ.com, CPA offers, private networks, Adsense, Info Links and the list goes on.

Test a few out and see if any convert. If they do then keep them and test more.

#3 – Get More Traffic

If you get more traffic, you'll make more money. So don't rely on just free Google traffic and think that's all you can get.

Pick one social platform like FB, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest or another and grow a channel based around your niche. Tell people to visit your website for more info.

Having another stream of traffic can make a big difference and also gives you another asset to include in the sale.

The Q and A Lab

There were no questions sent in this month, so here are some previous ones:

Q – What WordPress theme do you use for your sites?

A – I've used the Genesis Framework for years but recently have been using GeneratePress, which I'm quite impressed with. The free version is more than good enough.

Q – Do you buy links from Fiverr?

A – The only links I use sites like Fiverr for are social links. These are what I normally start a website with and they are mainly for branding purposes and to look natural. It's what a regular business website would start with.

Q – Do you write your own content?

A – I have a writer who does a lot of my content. Sometimes I write my own articles if I need them quick or I use ineedarticles.com which is fast and good enough for most sites.
